♥ THE PERSONAL STORY BEHIND THIS ONE ♥
My father-in-law was a beautiful soul, a golfer, and a gardener, among many other things. His last year of playing golf with his sons and friends was my first year of playing golf with them. He passed from this earth on October 31, 2020 from covid19.
Then one day this spring, 2021, the usual bunch were out golfing. We rode up to the tee box on the 12th hole and saw something new - a lovely cement bench with an engraved marker. I hopped out to see what it said, not at all expecting it to be for someone I knew, but there it was, "In loving memory of Ralph 'Texas Wedge' Ramirez." My husband, my brother-in-law, and I were speechless. It was done by the guys in our group, with permission from the golf course owners. We were so stunned and choked up, I'm not even sure we thanked them. The 12th hole was where my father-in-law had made an eagle at a tournament. "Texas Wedge" because he would use that putter way out there where the rest of us were using pitching wedges; every time.
On the way home, I thought maybe I'd paint up a quick golf ball in the grass to use on the front of some Thank You cards from the family to the guys. I wound up painting a whole scene rather than just the ball and bits of grass. This is it. I hope you enjoy it and golf as much as we do. -Cheryl

Your local framer will be accustomed to handling rolled prints. If you are framing it yourself, begin unrolling the print on a clean dry surface, placing books as you go. The print should relax enough to sandwich it between the glass/matt and the backer board in a few days.
